Circus Communications recently celebrated its 8th anniversary, and in 2011 we had another great year marked by exciting projects, great people and even better memories.

With another year behind us we can’t help but get nostalgic about what has kept our fast paced workplace so warm, friendly, and inspired. With this in mind, we went for a cruise around the office and asked our team, “What are your 8 favourite things about working at Circus?”

1. Fun People

What makes any place a great place to work is ultimately the people, and at Circus we’re fortunate to have a lot of fantastic people. Coming to work means working with a family of dedicated professionals you can count on.

2. Innovation

We’re always looking for something new & exciting to play with. More often than not, this means getting creative with ideas old and new, and not being afraid to challenge standard practices in the industry. We’re always up for challenging the status quo to find the next big thing!

3.Interesting Projects

With new projects always on the go you never know exactly what you’re walking into when you come in to start the day at Circus. With fresh project concepts come some truly interesting opportunities to explore new and exciting possibilities.

4. A Breath of Fresh Air

During our lunch break, we have a variety of ways to rejuvenate away from the desk. We can walk to nearby stores on our lunch, grill up a meal on the barbecue or shoot some hoops in our basketball court! Can any of us dunk? No. Are we working on it? YES! We even wrote a fun article all about the ways we recharge at lunch earlier this year.

5. Collaboration

There are no barriers to creativity at Circus. Seriously there aren’t a whole lot of walls between anybody. It’s quite possible that office remodelling is one of the secrets to our success. This dynamic, open environment is highly conducive to collaboration, fresh thinking is literally happening all around us.

6. Fancy Coffee

Our gourmet coffee machine keeps the team fuelled up during even the longest days. Where would we be without this machine? We don’t like to think about that.

7. We’re Super Social

Some companies ban their employees from using Facebook. At Circus it’s encouraged, because our entire team needs to be on the cutting edge of everything, including social media. It doesn’t even stop at Facebook, our team are tweeting and sharing all over the place!

8. Treats!

There is always something tasty floating around the Circus playground. Whether it’s the bottomless chocolate jar at reception or the dishes of seasonal sweets that are always floating around the office. If you have a sweet tooth, Circus is your mecca.

If you’ve ever visited the Circus headquarters, you’ll understand how we earned our name. Our home is full of star performers, wizards and magicians!
